Our Services
Less Admin. More Space to Heal.
Notifications & Cancellations
We take care of closing or transferring accounts with banks, insurance companies, utilities, government departments, clubs, and memberships. These are often the first—but most confusing—steps to manage, and we’ll make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
Fairlight can:
Contact electricity and internet providers to close or transfer accounts.
Notify banks to freeze or close personal and joint accounts.
Cancel gym or club memberships (e.g., RSA, Lions, golf clubs).
Inform government departments such as IRD and WINZ about the death.
Digital Services
Online accounts can live on long after someone passes. We help with closing or memorialising social media profiles, deactivating email and cloud storage accounts, and setting up email forwarding to ensure nothing important is missed.
Fairlight can:
Submit requests to Facebook to memorialise or remove a profile.
Cancel Netflix, Spotify, and other online subscriptions.
Close down Gmail and cloud storage accounts (e.g., Google Drive, iCloud).
Forward emails from the deceased’s account to a nominated family member.
Mail Redirection
Official mail redirection ensures that any bills, legal letters, or personal messages still make their way to the right person. We arrange this with NZ Post and make sure the process is seamless.
Fairlight can:
Submit a mail redirection request with NZ Post on your behalf.
Monitor redirected mail to identify unknown accounts or services.
Cancel unsolicited marketing mail or catalogues.
Ensure mail is redirected to an executor, lawyer, or key family member.
Property Assistance
We can coordinate trusted local services to assist with packing up, cleaning, storing, or selling household contents. We’ll also help with vehicle ownership transfers—removing the stress of managing someone’s physical belongings.
Fairlight can:
Organise a trusted cleaner or contents removal service.
Arrange for storage or donation of furniture or household items.
Coordinate vehicle ownership transfer via NZTA.
Create a basic inventory of household assets for estate lawyers.
Executor Assistance
Being named an executor can feel overwhelming. We support you by preparing estate inventories, digitising paperwork, and helping sort out the digital and physical legacy—step by step.
Fairlight can:
Help prepare a formal asset and liability list for estate lawyers.
Digitise key paperwork and store copies securely.
Track which institutions have been contacted and which remain.
Organise timeframes and task lists to help executors stay on track.
Financial Administration Assistance
From preparing tax documents and checking eligibility for grants to identifying unclaimed funds, we’ll help ensure that the financial matters are handled clearly and correctly.
Fairlight can:
Complete and submit a tax return on behalf of the estate.
Apply for a WINZ funeral grant if eligible.
Assist with ACC compensation claims where applicable.
Search for and claim unclaimed funds from IRD or other agencies.
